For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of working with Academy Award-winning director James Reed on projects like Chimp Empire, which focus on character-driven, story-based blue-chip programming. My role has involved identifying key characters and developing their narratives throughout the project, ensuring we capture pivotal moments in their story arcs.

To immerse viewers in these stories, I utilise a range of filming techniques, including long lens, gimbal, and handheld approaches, depending on what best serves the narrative.

I’m deeply passionate about exploring our relationship with the natural world and uncovering the untold stories it holds. In addition to my work in broadcast, I create my own films, collaborating with the talented friends and colleagues I’ve met along the way.

I’ve worked with Ewan on several different shoots over the last few years. We’ve worked side by side in the rain forest, he’s done remote shoots with very specific targets but also shoots with really vague briefs which relied heavily on his judgement – creatively and technically. He’s captured some incredible things in very beautiful and imaginative styles. He’s an intuitive story teller and a very nice person too.

I was fortunate enough to work with Ewan on a feature long documentary on the gorillas of Rwanda. It was a long and demanding project with many tough days in the field. Throughout the project ,Ewan remained positive, determined and extremely hard-working. He delivered a really strong set of rushes to the film. He’s also very good company on location-I recommend him highly.
